Adult Workshop dates 2024

Fused glass coaster (using glassline pen)

  • at Flying Fish studio, S10 3FB

  • Design and create a coaster or 10x10cm wall hanging during this glass workshop. We’ll start by sketching out our design (we have lots of examples for inspiration!) and then go on to using glassline pens, metal and masking tapes to transfer our ideas onto glass. The glass then gets fused in the studio’s kiln and your piece will be ready to collect within the week. Please note that this workshop does not involve using/cutting the small chards of glass commonly used in fused glass due to the studio being used for other crafts (health and safety). Suitable for beginners.

Metal embossing

  • at Flying Fish studio, S10 3FB

  • An ancient art form, where you use a stylus on the surface of a 10x15cm aluminium/copper sheet to create a raised 3D design. I provide lots of design ideas for inspiration, but there will also be plenty of space for your own creativity. Suitable for beginners.

Needle Felted trees & landscapes

  • at Flying Fish studio, S10 3FB

  • Use beautiful wool to needle felt a landscape (framed in a hoop to take home) and trees, ready for your mantlepiece! This is a quicker form of needle felting compared to most, as our specialised felters contain 5 needles instead of 1 - so 5 times as fast! Suitable for beginners.

Wire Flowers

  • at Flying Fish studio, S10 3FB

  • Create unique wire flowers, either for inside your home, or for your garden! Learn how to use the various tools and techniques to shape your wire into place. Suitable for beginners.

Dot Mandala (on 30cm wooden base)

  • at Flying Fish studio, S10 3FB

  • We will be learning the techniques to create our own beautiful dot mandalas on wood (30cm diameter). We will be using paint so please wear suitable clothing. Suitable for beginners.

Fabric Wreaths

  • at Flying Fish studio, S10 3FB

  • Choose from a huge selection of 100's of fabrics to create your own wreath for your home. We have organzas, lace, hessian, ribbon, linen, satin etc. Create one to your style and taste.

Spaces: Maximum 8 per workshop

If you’d like to take part in one of our workshops, but you’re unable to make any of the dates above, feel free to contact me with a date that you and one other person can make and I may be able to organise a workshop for the day and time that suits you!
